About Seconed
Seconed is the independent assessment partner for high-risk construction projects (such as CC3). We don’t build ourselves. Instead, we ensure that others do it right — technically, structurally, in terms of building physics, fire safety, installations, and compliance.
From bridges and tunnels to hospitals, airports, and distribution centers: our projects are technically demanding, often large-scale, and always socially significant. Mistakes are not an option. We provide certainty before construction begins.
You’ll join a compact team of specialists who dive deep into projects and assess them together. You’ll work closely with colleagues from five disciplines, ensuring designs are correct — not just on paper, but in practice.
Your Role
- Perform third-party checks and second opinions on complex concrete structures such as high-rise buildings (+70m), industrial halls, and station canopies.
- Review architectural designs for safety, compliance, and client requirements.
- Analyze construction risks and carry out verification calculations.
- Conduct inspections on construction sites and in concrete production facilities.
- Consult and report to project partners such as architects, engineering firms, and contractors.
- Contribute to internal knowledge development and technical innovation.
- Occasionally carry out short assignments and inspections abroad.

What You Bring
- A completed HBO or MSc degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering.
- Affinity with complex concrete structures and structural analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- A proactive, analytical, and problem-solving mindset.
- Experience with risk-based project assessments.
- Knowledge of calculation software such as Sofistik is a plus.
