Building Inspection

In the context of validating compliance with the requirements of the Buildings Decree for the Physical Environment (Bbl)/the output specification/Statement of Requirements, we also conduct risk-driven and sample-based inspections of the execution through site visits and, if necessary, factory visits.

During execution inspections, in addition to typical general execution risks, special attention is given to potential execution risks specifically associated with the chosen design and/or the specific elaboration of the design solution.

These inspections do not constitute daily supervision but aim to sample-based verify the contractor's execution process, inspection and registration process, and testing process. The starting point is that the contractor performs the initial inspection themselves, and we validate these inspection results through targeted samples.

The following elements are part of an assessment or inspection during a site visit:

  • Execution conditions in relation to the design principles;
  • Conformity of the materials used with regulations, technical requirements, and specifications;
  • Quality of the applied materials and their correct processing;
  • Conformity with the execution drawings;
  • Adherence to the rules of good craftsmanship;

A visit report is prepared for every inspection visit to the construction site, factory, or workshop and is immediately submitted to the parties involved.
