Seconed is an independent and ISO/IEC 17020:2012 Type A-accredited inspection body. As part of the SECO Group, we have over 100 years of experience in assessing designs, performing quality inspections on construction and production sites, and guiding commissioning processes. This experience makes us a trusted partner when it comes to providing certainty and reliability in construction projects — whether it involves infrastructure, commercial, or residential construction. Our quality assurance adds significant value to your projects.

1934

Founded in Brussels – SECO

SECO was founded in 1934 at the initiative of Professor Magnel from Ghent University and Professor François from the University of Brussels. This made our company the first independent and neutral technical partner of the construction sector, serving as a technical platform for the three main construction disciplines: architects, civil engineers, and contractors.

1987

Establishment of SECO Luxembourg

With the establishment of SECO Luxembourg in 1987, our technical expertise expanded across the border. Since then, this office has been providing independent quality assurance and technical inspections for projects in Luxembourg.

2007

Start SECONED

In 2007, Seconed was founded as a logical step in the SECO Group’s growth within the Benelux region. Since then, our Dutch office has offered a complete range of services — from design assessments to quality inspections and commissioning. This makes us a trusted partner for clients, with the same independent perspective, in-depth technical expertise, and quality-driven approach that SECO has stood for over decades. Nationally rooted, internationally supported.

2021

EFPC becomes part of the SECO Group

On December 23, 2021, SECO Netherlands Holding acquired a majority stake in EFPC, joining forces to provide even greater certainty and safety in the construction industry. Through this acquisition in the Netherlands, we now collaborate with over 40 professionals in the fields of Building and Civil Structures, Fire Safety, Energy, Installations, Explosion Safety, and Machine Safety.
